Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

VP Scientific is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification or reduced-motion settings. Accessibility is treated as part of the site's build quality, not an afterthought.

2. Conformance target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. The site is reviewed against those criteria when significant changes are made. We believe the site substantially conforms; where a gap is identified we prioritize a fix rather than publish an exemption.

3. Measures we have taken

• Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page and a logical heading order.
• A visible “Skip to main content” link as the first focusable element.
• Colour combinations checked for a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio on body text.
• All meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• Full keyboard operability, including the navigation menu, accordions and forms, with visible focus styles.
• Form fields with persistent labels, clear error messages and no reliance on colour alone.
• Animation is limited and disabled automatically for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
• Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 px viewport and remains readable at 200% zoom.

4. Known limitations

The embedded map on our contact page is provided by a third party and its internal controls are outside our influence; the same address is always available as plain text next to it. Some manufacturer datasheets we link to are PDFs produced by others and may not be fully tagged for screen readers — contact us and we will supply the information in another format.

5. Feedback and assistance

If you encounter a barrier on this site, or need information from it in an alternative format such as large print, plain text or over the telephone, contact us and we will help. We acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and aim to resolve issues within 20 business days.
